Lilacs are my favorite flowering bush. Three years ago I planted a small bush under our bedroom window. This year will be the first year that we should be able to smell the beautiful fragrance from inside without making cuttings.

I've been collecting quotes since I was 16 years old. They come from books I'm reading, magazines, song lyrics, and I've even been known to fumble in a dark theater for a check registry to record a great line from a movie. (You ought to see that in-the-dark handwriting!) I'll give credit when I know who is responsible for the quote. If no author is listed, don't assume it is mine.

All photos are mine, unless otherwise noted. All photos are taken with either a Kodak EasyShare Z612 or a Nikon Coolpix. (Saving my $$ for a more professional camera one of these days.) When I started this blog all photos were straight out of the camera. Now I use picasa to crop, enhance, retouch, and sometimes just play; though I still prefer straight out of the camera. It's easier!

As of 2016, most photos are taken with an iPhone camera.
