Just Joy!

I will be the gladdest thing under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
And not pick one.
Edna St. Vincent Millay

  1. In Holland, Michigan, if you pick a tulip, you must pay a $100 fine to the city. I don't even touch 'em. hee hee
    I like the zinnias here.

  2. Beautiful zinnias. Like Holland Michigan, on the campus of Hofstra University, a school with Dutch roots, no pun intended, you also receive a fine for picking the tulips. They have some of the most beautiful plants and flowers on all of Long Island.

  3. Beautiful image and I love the words today!

  4. Beautiful zinnia's. Poet's can say things in that special way, can't they? Hope all is well.

  5. my favorite poet...and i liked her savage beauty memoir very much as well...Have you heard Deb Talan's "The Gladdest Thing"?
